Wow What a weekend to kick off the APL series, huge thanks to everyone that helped out in running the event, and to our fresh sponsors for the 2026 / 2027 season, HK Army came onboard to help us grow the regional paintball in the South Island of New Zealand, this season we will be giving away prizes from them and exclusively shooting HK Army paint supplied by Paintball Direct NZ, BeastMode Sports has helped our Referee's look the part with brand new custom shirts, Vetta Group have supplied us with some awesome cameras and helping out with wireless internet, watch out for event highlights and game footage on our YouTube channel, Amphibious NZ LTD are helping out with additional air for events, Ashburton Engravers & Etching have supplied us with Medals for the season, and help out with engraving of the APL trophies, NofussHost.com are working alongside us to develop event software to run paintball events. this year is going to be bigger better more exciting than ever with plenty of new things to help get spectators involved and make it easier for teams to enter and compete.
A huge feature for this season, anyone can jump on our Ashburton Paintball website and follow the game scores in real time as the points happen. follow your favorite team, see who's playing next, look up interesting event statistics.
Did you know one trigger happy team managed to shoot 560 paintballs per minute of game time that they played!!!. if you want to see what that looks like, come along on the 14th of November to watch Round 2.

Looking forward to seeing everyone for what should be a great day of slinging some paint, if you're not playing but interested in seeing what competition paintball is all about feel free to come down to the field and have a nosy!
